Other timer lengths
Three minutes is the brain-break length. This free 3 minute bomb timer fits wiggle breaks, speed-sketch challenges, journal warm-ups, and quick rounds of show and tell. It is just long enough to do something real and just short enough to feel like a race.
A favorite classroom move: put the bomb on the board, call out a category, and let students list as many examples as they can before the boom. The visible fuse does the pacing, so you can circulate instead of counting down out loud.
Need tighter pressure? Drop to the 2 minute bomb timer or a 1 minute lightning round. Running stations or whole-class routines instead? The classroom timer page collects our favorite teacher setups in one place.
