BombTimer.com (“BombTimer,” “we,” “our”) is a free online countdown timer. We try to collect as little as possible. This policy explains what data is involved when you use the site, who processes it, and how you can control it. Questions? Email [email protected].
What we collect
We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email, or any personal details to use the timer. The data involved falls into two buckets: cookieless, anonymous analytics that run for everyone, and optional cookie-based analytics and advertising that load only with your consent (or, outside the EEA/UK/Switzerland, on first interaction).
Cookieless analytics (no consent needed)
Cloudflare Web Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and understand broad traffic patterns. It is privacy-first, sets no cookies, and does not fingerprint or track you across sites.
First-party privacy beacon
We run a small first-party beacon that records an anonymous, daily unique-visitor count and a live on-page presence signal. It uses your browser’s local storage to avoid double-counting, sets no cookies, collects no personal data, and never leaves an identifier that can follow you elsewhere.
Optional analytics & advertising (consent-based)
Google Analytics 4
We may use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how features are used. GA4 sets cookies. For visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, GA4 loads only after you accept our consent banner. For visitors elsewhere, GA4 loads with IP anonymization enabled. You can opt out anywhere using the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Google AdSense
We may display ads through Google AdSense. AdSense and its partners use cookies to serve and measure ads. For EEA/UK/Swiss visitors, ad-personalization consent is collected through Google’s certified consent management platform. You can manage ad personalization at Google Ad Settings.
Amazon Associates
Some links on this site go to Amazon. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. When you click an affiliate link, Amazon may set cookies to attribute the referral. We do not receive your purchase details, only aggregate commission reports.

BombTimer is designed to be kid-safe and is commonly used in classrooms, but the site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Data security & retention
The site is served over HTTPS. We retain only the aggregate, anonymous analytics described above for as long as it is useful for understanding traffic. We do not maintain a database of identifiable visitor records.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
